One of my favourite beauty products of the month is a lipstick by Wet N Wild. It’s been a busy month so I didn’t get the opportunity to try a lot of products but the ones I did try were fantastic and this is a prime example. At an amazing price of €2.99, I would’ve been crazy not to pick it up and try it and I was not disappointed. It is the perfect everyday nude for me. It’s not too obvious that you look crazy for wearing lipstick to class but it’s obvious enough to make you look and feel great.
My other beauty favourite of the month is definitely my Kat Von D Lock it Tattoo Foundation in the colour Light 48. In the winter I tend to have lighter skin and sometimes I can’t ever find the right colour and this just works perfectly for me. It’s also full coverage and doesn’t feel too heavy or sticky on the skin, perfect for any occasion. From what I can tell from researching, it doesn’t have SPF which is a huge plus for me. Full coverage, matches my skin tone and no SPF? Perfect for parties, nights out and pictures with flash. All around thumbs up from me!
My fashion favourites for the month are incidentally, two pairs of inexpensive shoes that I can pair with many outfits for college and everyday wear. They are in the style of the original Vans, with no laces but I purchased mine for €5 per pair in Penneys (Primark) I found them on my way home from college and didn’t have much cash with me so I just bought these two pairs but I know for a fact I’ll be purchasing more, they are something I will wear most days and are very comfortable. They come in a range of colours and patterns also.
My favourite book of the month is by far Trial By Fire by Josephine Angelini. i have been a fan of Josephine Angelini since I read her other series, the Starcrossed trilogy which is about Greek mythology and I loved it. It brought about an obsession that was hiding inside me for years towards Classical studies and Greek and Roman history, something I now study in college and I love it, it’s everything I ever dreamed of studying. So when I heard she was writing a book about witches set in Salem, I was set and I knew I would love it before I even picked it up and I was not disappointed. This book takes an interesting twist on the story of witches in Salem and gives it a modern and somehow futuristic feel and I just absolutely loved it. I read it in one sitting and now I’m desperately waiting for the next book in the series.
I started watching Scandal over the summer and got through two or three episodes before I got hooked on my next TV show favourite but about midway through September I started it again on Netflix and I was obsessed in a flash. I love the suspense every episode includes and I also love Olivia and Fitz’s relationship. In the first two episodes I hated Fitz and I thought he was just a sleazy president but after the first season I fell in love with him and his love for Olivia and now they are one of my favourite TV couples ever, they just can never catch a break in their relationship but always seem to make their way back to each other. The new season aired recently and I was on the edge of my seat the entire episode, it seems like they’re continuously trying to shock us. Also Kerry Washington is a babe.
Thank you for checking out my September favourites, I hope you enjoyed reading it and found it interesting. You can connect with me on multiple social media sites such as: Bloglovin’ Twitter, Instagram, WeHeartIt and Tumblr on my primary and hockey blogs.
